Be part of helping young people from Prudhoe to reach their full potential!!!
Prudhoe Youth Project was set up 2 years ago to support children and young people in the town. PYP does this by running youth clubs, project work, trips and drop-in sessions where young people get to socialise with their peers and gain support with qualified youth workers.
As we move forward some of our current Trustees wish to move on therefore, we are looking to recruit new Trustees.
We are looking for some specific skills to drive the charity forward through its next stages, a treasurer to keep an eye on our accounts and others with the knowledge and experience of the charitable and youth sector.
Trustees are legally responsible for the charity and have responsibility for ensuring the charity is well run, financially secure, and doing the work it was set up to do.
PYP are looking for people with time to spare, an enthusiasm for children and young people and are willing to work as part of a team of Trustees. Our Trustee meetings take place on an evening every other month, trustees may also be required to attend additional meeting where appropriate.
For more information including how to apply please contact Gemma Nixon, Youth Development Worker on 07502851847 or email gemma@prudhoeyouthproject.org. Potential Trustees will be invited to interview and a request for references will be made. These roles will be subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (known as a DBS check). It is required for all that contact or work with young people.
